Help me choose a hostess gift for DS's friend's (Russian) mother who has invited DS to stay in Bordeaux for half term. It's a return invite as we've had her son to stay repeatedly over the years when he was at boarding school here and a few times in summer holidays. She has sent wonderful wine and chocolates with him and now I need to send her something equally glamorous, without the advantage of exquisite shops locally to browse. DS is flying with hand luggage only so liquids are out because of airport security.
