DS is nearly 9 and really into HP.

Am thinking of taking him one Saturday to HPWorld with DH. Looking online you need to book a slot. As we are some distance I would like to leave comfortable amount of time for travel and am thinking of booking say 11 am slot .

Just wondering, as it's not cheap, if this will leave us enough time to do / see everything else there and if you have been is it really worth it ?

Huge thanks for help

All the closing times are helpfully listed online (they seem to vary between 6-10pm)

We've just bought ourselves tickets as a Christmas present and think we'll probably need to stay overnight after the trip.

Can anybody think of somewhere near(ish) where we could happily spend a couple of hours DD9 and DH aren't great fans of shopping?

I don't think Aldenham country park is too far, it has 100 acre wood for children.

Thanks bruffin.
I'm not sure whether it is because we are going at a quiet time of year but the IBIS in Borehamwood is £51/night for family B&B plus a glass of bubbly on arrival (or £36 room only).
