Hep! Going to Italy need advice

We are off to Sorrento in April with our 5 month old son. This will be the first time we have taken him abroad. We have been to sorrento before and my husband works there every year and is an expert on modern Italy (so speaks the language - luckily for me!). What I desperately need is advice about travelling- best things to take and tips whilst we are there. we are staying in an hotel near to the centre.

a sling!
the streets are steep and cobbly and stepped and certain death to a pushchair.

thanks-will take one but concerned how heavy he will be. Now over 14lbs at 2 1/2 months!!

can you borrow some different types and see how they go? A ring-type one where he can sit on your hip might be better than a front one, and def better than the Baby Bjorn type.

i have got the bjorn active carrier because of back problems and he feels heavy already. Hoping my hubby could take the strain!

Afraid to say I don't rate the Bjorns at all - try here for more ideas... or just hand him to DH and watch the Italian women flock to him ...
