Garda or Bardolino or Lazise or Desenzano

Which village wound be your top pick- lake Garda, July. Would like nice restaurants, nice to walk around etc.

Garda is bigger and more touristy - sunloungers by the lake, stalls selling inflatables and tat, but more choice of stuff.
Bardolino is smaller and quieter with a bunch of good restaurants (and more up in the hills and along the lake) and the wine museum.
Desenzano and Lazise seemed similar.

I've only been to the first two and, out of them, Bardolino is my favourite. Both lovely though!

All lovely - I would probably chose Bardolino out of them.

But Malcesine would be my pick of places in the area - sorry I know it's not on the list but I thought it was amazing.

I've only been to Lasize but I loved it!

I loved Garda. It was a great base for taking ferries round the lake. We managed a day trip to Malcesine one day.

Last time we went the lake Garda we stayed in Sirmione, which we also liked.

We stayed in peschiera and loved it. Also liked Bardolino and Lazise but only visited them,didn't stay there.
