Berlin hotels

Any recommendations?

Would like a safe area, ideally West Berlin, not too expensive!

What's not too expensive? We stayed at the Steinberger Hotel just off Ku'damm in July, but have also stayed at the Pullman opposite the zoo. Both lovely hotels in safe areas and very central to everything.

Thank you Allina. I have gone for the Novotel in Mitte but will look at those two as the booking is 'cancelable'

We stayed in Hotel Indigo just off Alexanderplatz. It was lovely and so handy for public transport (u-bahn, s-bahn and trams) so you could get anywhere in the city really easily.
