I'm very lucky and we've had some amazing holidays; Indian Ocean & Caribbean but I'm looking for a new destination.

White sand, blue seas, swaying palms, small upmarket boutique hotels, very few people. SCUBA essential.

Any wonderful ideas? Just me & DH for 2 weeks luxury.

Seychelles? One of the smaller islands with only one resort?

sweetpeaandroses · 23/08/2016 16:04

The Seychelles absolutely ticks the boxes but we've been before.
I wondered about The Philippines.

Andaman islands? Mozambique?

Maui? Grin

Seriously, Great Barrier Reef.

Have you considered Costa Rica? Or La Reunion (it's an extra hour to fly across from Mauritius)

SJane45S · 23/08/2016 19:35

As a kid (living in Kenya) we spent our holidays at Mombasa or Malindi - nowhere since has quite lived up to the memory! Just come back from Costa Rica - we stayed in Manuel Antonio at Tulemar resort, incredibly beautiful with monkeys on the balcony etc. Has a great beach and palm trees. The snorkelling we did was a bit rubbish so ? about diving. If it's not died off, the waters around Miombasa were fantastic.

Perhentians - AMAZING diving.

Or Fiji perhaps?

sweetpeaandroses · 23/08/2016 20:27

Fantastic suggestions, thank you.

I'd forgotten about the Andaman & Nicobar islands, they look amazing.
Have been to several of the others but need to research Perhentians, sounds intriguing.

Maui, isn't it just for weddings Wink?

Fiji, just wow. 24 hours is an awfully long journey.
