Is there anywhere you could recommend with these criteria ??

Sandy beach very near
sea suitable for 5-7 year olds
Some kind of walk to Play area
Walk to Restaurants
Somewhere to stroll in the evening

Sorry I know that sounds incredibly vague but don't even know where in Europe to start. Only had UK based holidays since dc and am feeling a bit overwhelmed!

Happy with the med but also maybe also lakes. As long as the water is warm enough ☺

we went to crete and it was lovely. stayed in elounda and it ticked all of the boxes. you need to think about your budget as what you have listed is practically what every other parent with children this age would have listed so it might either be expensive or in short supply. are you thinking ai or self catering? what ballpark budget do you have?

Look at Estepona in Spain. Cheap flights to Malaga, gorgeous beaches, lovely old town, play areas all along the vast 'promenade'. Can't recommend specific accommodation as we always stay with friends.

We went to the domes of elounda recently without our children but we'll definitely take them soon! It was so nice and set up for kids but not hectic in the way some 'child-friendly' places are

Roda on Corfu is perfect for you. Flat village with a very safe beach which shelves gently into the sea. You have to go really far out before it gets deep. Loads of lovely restaurants, water sports but it is family friendly - only 1 nightclub and it is underground. We stay in basic but lovely and clean apartments - we were charged e540 for a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 weeks peak season in school holidays and that included e140 for 2 AC units. 5 mins walk to beach, bats, shops, restaurants. There is also a kids play place I. The shade with soft play and other play areas. A couple of restaurants have play areas too. We stay here - lovely pool, bar, bbqs etc and dead laid back, but if you want more facilities there are loads of choices.

Benalmadena, flights to Malaga, half hour train or taxi to reach Benalmadena. Lovely Marina with little shops, ice cream parlours etc, old town, lovely long promenade and beach with play areas along it. Short ride one way to Torremollinos, short bus ride the other way along the coast to Fuengirola. It was our first holiday with one year old ds and it was perfect. We went back a few years in a row as kids got older because it ticked all the boxes.

Salon on the Costa Dorada.

Lovely sandy beaches with life guards and shallow water.

Lovely prom with light shows and fountain dud plays ever evening. All along the the prom are play areas/parks and play fountain areas popular day and night. Free volleyball on the beaches on an evening.

Very short transfer from Reus Airport to resort.

Also forgot to mention Port Aventura if that kind of thing is your bag.

Lido de jesolo is very child friendly.

Menorca is great for kids. We stayed in Son Bou and weld recommend it.

Puerto Pollensa, majorca

We're off to Salou next Summer. But Playa Blanca in Lanzarote was lovely too.

I'd second Menorca. I've been going since I was tiny, and have taken the DC several times. Lots of lovely, quiet, child friendly resorts and beaches .

Menorca. We're going to Cala n Bosch and it meets your criteria.

Another vote for Menorca. Cala Blanca is lovely.

If you need the sea to be safe for little ones then I would avoid The Algarve. Atlantic rollers tend to knock them over!

Hotel Villa Concha in Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca. Meets absolutely all your criteria, we went two summers in a row when DS was 6 and 7, wish we had gone again this year!
