Somewhere for the kids to paddle in the East Midlands area?

The forecast for tomorrow is fab so I'd really like to take ds11 and ds7 somewhere they can have a paddle in the water. I live in North Notts, but am not from here so don't know where we can take them. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have a car so it doesn't have to be particularly local. Thanks Smile

Rutland water has a new aqua park depending on how old the children are.

The park in Matlock has a nice paddle splash area if they are not big children.

Rutland looks great and just what I'm after. Thanks Smile

Not sure if you can paddle at Clumber Park? I think Mansfield has set up a beach for the summer, though I don't know if there is actual water.

Wheelgate park as a brilliant water park

I'd forgotten about the splash area at Matlock, they do love it there. We were at Clumber a few weeks ago and didn't see anywhere to paddle but might not have been looking in the right places Grin. The kids love wheel gate but we're going to Legoland later in the week so need something cheap!
