Where in the world would you put on your 'must take the kids before they no longer wish to holiday with me' list?
Am thinking locations rather than resorts or accomodation as I am a newly converted house swapper. I have a home in London so get offers to swap every week. My kids are 13, 4 and 2 and like the idea of having a list of places to take them to over the next 15 years or so. Not just 'oh that would be nice' but 'this place is stunning/amazing/best fun ever/life changing'. At the moment we are sticking to short haul (in general) for the little ones but in future the world is our oyster! We like theme parks, museums, culture, nature, food...
My ideas:
Legoland Denmark
Eiffel Tower (going in October)
Lapland
Amsterdam, canal boat trip and Anne Frank House
Barcelona, Guell Park
Berlin Wall
San Diego Zoo (taken kids once, amazing, have to go back!)
Disneyland (doing Paris in October, have taken eldest to Florida and would definitely take younger ones in a few years)
Yosemite
New York for well, everything!
Pyramids in Egypt
Blossom in Japan
Tulip fields in the Netherlands
Flanders poppy fields and Normandy beaches
Northern Lights
Geysers in Iceland
Climb Snowdonia
I actually have a much longer wishlist of places to visit but realise a lot of that is for myself rather than for the kids! Where else would you put on your list - or have been and would recommend as a must see place for or with kids?
