Need to buy a" proper" birthday cake in France

ds turns11 whilst we are in France and I don't think there will be an oven at the apartment
He wants a typical English birthday cake-, any ideas? I recall French cakes being rather different. ....., we cannot bring a cake from uk

Depending on where you are staying, they usually have a few in the bakery section of supermarkets. They do where I live anyway (city).

Yes try Carrefour great cake counter and you can always buy a plane one and decorate yourself X
