Good place to stop for lunch / play M4 westbound

Travelling from Brighton to Pembrokeshire this weekend with 13 month old DC.

Can anyone recommend a good place to stop just off M4 somewhere between Swindon and Cardiff?

Looking for somewhere not too far off the motorway, easy to drive to, with a park or playground for DC and where we can get lunch.

TIA

Lydiard Park is just off the motorway near Swindon - it's free, has a great play area, lots of space to run around, couple of cafes. Dyrham Park is a lovely National Trust property just off the Bath exit with all the usual NT stuff (cafe, play area etc).

Ikea has just opened at j12. They have a creche so you can lunch in peace while dc plays Wink

Wellington country park farm shop is close to j11 and they have animals and a fab play area as well as nice good.

Try MacArthur Glen Swindon, it's easy to get yo off the M4, loads of eateries, playground and shops if the need to browse is on your list Smile
