Any recommendations for things to do/see in and around Anglesey? We are going to Holyhead.

For children (12, 11, 7, 2), MIL, me and DH

Beautiful Island. On FB there is a great group called Images of Anglesey which gives a great taster of the type of scenery to be found. In no particular order recommend:

Newborough Beach and Llanwddyn Island (must see)
Giants Stepping Stones
Trearddur Bay
South Stack
Holyhead Country Park & Mountain
Menai Bridge and St. Tysilio's church
Benllech beach
Moelfre & the RNLI station
Port Llanlleiana porcelain works (tricky walk)
Porth Wen (ditto)
Rhosneigr plus the view of Valley runway
Church in the Sea
Plas Newydd
Plas Cadnant hidden gardens
Lligwy beach
The Dingle in Llangefni
Cable Bay and the burial chamber
Penrhos nature reserve
Red wharf bay
Penmon priory and lighthouse

Just so much to see, especially if you like beaches and/ or walking.

One of my favourite places on earth!!

Oh dear, holyhead was a bit scary when we went, but the rest is lovely.
Favourites were Beaumaris castle, Rhosnegir and Benllech.
