Can anyone tell me whether £150-£200 for an economy vehicle is really a good/going rate for 7 1/2 days car hire? And whether it's sensible to agree to policies that have insurance excesses of up to 3,000 euros? I'm quite shocked at the prices tbh and re. the excess, have no idea whether it's a standard kind of sum.
Also, Collision Damage Waiver: does this mean you're not liable for anything if you have a collision? ie no insurance excess liability?
This is for Italy btw,Milan. If anyone's got a recommendation of a company that's a good price and easy to deal with, I'd be glad to hear it.
It's the last part of my holiday to organise! (apart from bikini shopping but I need to lose 2 stone before I get to that...)
