Things to do in Alcudia which don't cost a fortune

Currently in Alcudia, Majorca with DH and DS aged 7. We have paid about 3k for two weeks here but excursions seem expensive. We are here with Thompson so of course the reps are trying to flog us their trips. I would love to go on a boat trip or see the mountains/visit Palma. My DS of course is mad to get to waterparks despite not being able to swim. DH and I are not strong swimmers and don't want to pay out 80_100 Euros to find out most of them are not suited to weak/non swimmers. Can anyone recommend any places to go to (and cheap ways of getting there) or car rental agencies to try? We only have WiFi in hotel lobby so difficult to hunt things down.

We recently did well with this company in Mallorca - got full-full on the fuel on the hire car (Spain is well known for the pay for a full tank at extortionate price and then not use much rip off on hire car)

or there is probably a bus to Palma - we've always found the bus service in Spain to be excellent and cheap.

You don't usually need to be able to swim much in water parks - water at the end of the slides isn't usually very deep - you just walk out. If you book the waterpark online, it would be just over 60 euros

Leaflets in the hotel reception or try a local bar/cafe for free wifi?

We were in Alcudia with Thomson a few years ago. We booked a day trip with these people instead of Thomson

You can find them in the resort. They have pick up locations around the centre near hotels. We also took the bus to visit the old town nearby.

Get the bus to alcudia old town it is lovely. Or hire bikes and cycle there.

Bus to Puerto Pollensa/ go to Pollensa (inland) for market day. You can get a taxi to the water park in alcudia and either buy tickets there or via tourist information.

We did some excursions from Port Alcudia and a boat trip, and we booked with nofrills excursions, they were much cheaper than the tour operators, and the girl at their shop was very friendly and helpful, their office is in avenida de la playa 13.
Also, take the public bus to go to the old town
