Looking for a 3 day break

MozzchopsThirty · 25/07/2016 09:25

Please please help, I'd like to take the dcs somewhere for 3 days in August
We've already had our main hols and they're away with dad for 2 weeks.

I'd planned to do London but hotels are ridiculous and neither seem that interested apart from the Nike shop and I'm fucked if I'm paying all that money just to shop for trainers

Willing to drive, budget of about £500

Thanks in advance, I'm normally really good at looking for breaks but am totally at a loss with this

Whereabouts do you live and how far are you looking to travel?

mrsmortis · 25/07/2016 12:13

You could do legoland for that, including a hotel somewhere nearby (just not the one onsite).

MozzchopsThirty · 25/07/2016 13:25

We're going to Alton towers this week and I always find legoland like hell on earth

We're in Cardiff but I'm willing to drive 3 hours in any direction

Just a nice hotel, places to eat & visit nearby

HF holidays, YHA or Manor/Ashbury hotels?

mrsmortis · 25/07/2016 16:02

How about Snowdonia? Are you OK with self catering?

It's hard to look without knowing your dates. But this cottage is free for 3 nights from the 19th: www.ownersdirect.co.uk/accommodation/p1807552

Not sure about snowdonia but I never thought about looking for a cottage so will have a look now
