Hope no-one minds if I start another thread as the old one is full?

Or are you all in Orlando now? Smile

41 days for us.

We take a few dollars and then just use credit card.

NicknameUsed · 09/01/2017 13:47

Same as Hula. I didn't think people used travellers cheques any more.

MissBeehiving · 14/01/2017 20:54

I couldn't even go on Hulk Envy

ChestyNutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 15/01/2017 10:46

I gave the Hulk a miss Grin

TammySwansonxx · 15/01/2017 10:50

Some cash and Halifax clarity credit card - no fee for foreign currency transactions and good exchange rate

Hulababy · 15/01/2017 14:23

The Hulk's fab!

MissBeehiving · 15/01/2017 16:09

Forbidden Journey is about my limit even with travel sickness tablets. I love Gringotts and am looking forward to the new Jimmy Fallon ride when we go back in October.

Have a fab time hula 🙂

ChestyNutsRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 15/01/2017 16:53

I hated Forbidden Journey, thought I was going to faint and vomit Envy Ditto the Simpsons ride!
I used travel sickness tablets and sea bands last time and managed rides a bit better.

MissBeehiving · 15/01/2017 17:11

Minion Mayhem made me Envy the first time but better second time around. Apparently Mission Space and Primeval -Hurl- Whirl are not good either

We are going for two weeks at the end of Feb, very excited!!!

Two days at Universal (Cabana Bay), one day at Legoland and
Legoland hotel, then on to Cape Coral for a villa stay, then a 3 night Disney cruise to the Bahamas!!!

Has anyone here been on a Disney cruise? Any tips?

Also are the unlimited fast passes worth buying for Universal?

NicknameUsed · 17/01/2017 13:07

westcoastnortherneragain We stayed at the Cabana Bay last July. If you have a car I would eat elsewhere as the food is just about OK and quite expensive, the dining area isn't very nice and the music is so annoying. We didn't bother buying express passes for Universal and were pleased that we didn't because it would have been an unnecessary expense. The free shuttle bus from the hotel means that you can go to and from Universal at any time. Also, you can get early entry into Universal before it gets crowded.

westcoastnortherneragain · 20/01/2017 22:25

Great tips thanks, did anyone purchase the quick service dining plan at Universal?

Hulababy · 22/01/2017 08:35

26 days and counting for us. Pretty much all prepared now though still need to buy Universal tickets - need 2 days, both parks. Also want express pass for one of the days. Anyone seen any deals around?

ihatethecold · 22/01/2017 12:34

I've just booked to go back to Florida again.
Kids will be 13 and 17.
Staying 3 nights at our favourite hotel. Hilton bonnet creek. (Amazing lazy river and pool)
Then 4 nights in a villa then driving down to Florida keys for a week.

We are dying to go to the new universal water park.
Not fussed about Disney.

I need to buy tickets for universal.
Where is the best place.
We will probably only go to each park within universal once.
Buying a 2 week tickets seems a waste.

westcoastnortherneragain · 23/01/2017 01:56

I think Universal's site seems to have the best deals at the min

Hulababy · 23/01/2017 17:17

Yes, not been able to find any reductions anywhere for Universal. And buying direct from Universal's US site seems our best option. Was hoping that with Disney having a reduction at the moment, Universal might have followed suit but sadly not.

I'm able to go on and book my ADR's next week as it will be 180 days until we travel. Does anyone know if I can book them for the whole holiday (we're going for 3 weeks)? I've heard varying information, some say you can only book a week at a time. Does anyone know? Thanks

Hulababy · 26/01/2017 22:30

Are you in a Disney hotel?
If so I think it is something like 10 days.

PoptartPoptart · 27/01/2017 08:32

Yes, in a Disney hotel. So I can only go on and book 10 days at a time?

al88 · 27/01/2017 16:54

As I understand it, you can book the first 10 days, then the following day you can book day 11, the day after that book day 12 and so on.
I've never done this before though so happy to be corrected if I'm wrong. My adr day comes up in a few weeks time. Smile

PoptartPoptart · 27/01/2017 17:45

Ah, that's a pain! Thanks

Unihorn · 28/01/2017 01:02

Poptart
I've always managed to speak with a nice Cast Member who's allowed me to book 14 days' worth rather than 10 days at 180 days out. Not sure about 3 weeks however as I've not been lucky enough to go for that long bur definitely worth a phone call to try!

PoptartPoptart · 28/01/2017 08:16

Thanks Unihorn, that's worth a try.
Did you have to book them over the phone with the cast member or did they allow access for 14 days so you could do it online?

Unihorn · 28/01/2017 13:56

I believe I managed them all online one year but I do usually call as it's part of my holiday excitement :)
