Croatia - when to go?

Going to Greece again next summer but fancy a week to Croatia either in Easter or October hold (usually second week in October). Would like to be within easy reach of Dubrovnik. Anyone know when is best between the two ?

How warm do you want it?

I went last year at the end of May - and the temperatures were just starting to warm up. it wasn't sunny and hot every day.

I think Easter could be a little cool - but early October might be okay.

It depends what sort of a holiday you want.

I've been in September and had a cloudy wet week. I'd choose Croatia for the summer and southern Greece for Spring or October.

Thanks for replies, might need to leave it a year then as we 're going to Greece for a wedding so have to go in the summer. We usually sneak a wee southern Greek break in at Easter/October so thought we could maybe try Croatia. Wouldn't want it as my main summer holiday though as we love sandy beaches.,
