We are off to Bath in a couple of weekends time with friends and was wondering if anyone knows of any good activities for a 2 year old and a one year old? Any recommendations or places to avoid?
We are hoping to go shopping for one day (well the Mums are!!) in Bath itself but the other day have all day to do something (or indeed nothing!)
Longleat was high on my list but it turns out the safari park is closed for the winter

Thanks!

Kateyp

Yeah, I just looked up a few places and they're almost all closed for the winter. Avon Valley Country Park is open. Horseworld ? Wookey Hole? (probably a bit young for that). Slimbridge is good but you might not want to go that far. Bristol Zoo?

Will post again if I think of anything else.

If the weather is dry go to Victoria Park in Bath it has the biggest playground ever. Westonburt Arboretum is gorgeous and not far - nice walks and some lovely places nearby to eat.

Have fun...

Avon Valley Country park is lovely. Easy to get to as well, just off the A4

There's Avon valley railway in Bitton too, but I'm not sure if there are trains running on the weekend you are coming down.

Vicky park is a good one, but as your children are quite little, it's worth remembering that it's mahoosive and little ones can easily get lost there. I have a 2 year old, and i haven't taken him there yet.

Wookey hole is good too, my 2 year old loves it there. Lots of caves where he can be shouty!
