looking at going away for Christmas within the US (we live there already) to preferably a hotel that goes all out with Christmas dinner, decorations, visits from Santa, any other activities - although pref not a big resort which is all I can find at the moment (ie thousands of guests!), in a town that has loads of lights and snow

any thoughts or ideas?! Woodstock in Vermont sounds good, any accommodation?

Pigeon Forge in TN (mountain town, close to Dollywood) is supposed to be lovely at Christmas. Disneyland in California or Disneyworld in Florida would be nice, too, but crazy busy at that time of the year.

will look up Pigeon Forge

We live in LA so it's the last place I want to be this year as I'm there every year! (also snow hasn't appeared in the mountains around LA in a few years, unless man made - and there's no way you can get to any of them in an hour!) but thanks for suggestions Wink
