Beware. Because of all the building work ongoing the airport is chaotic. Car hire has been moved to the 3rd floor of car park 1 which means you need to trail your family, luggage etc outside, long walk in the mad heat across several busy roads (with crossings) then wait to go up in the small lift with many other frustrated travellers.
The car park itself is as tight as hell, loads of the hire cars are scraped down the sides already and keep the exit ticket as you'll need it to go through two sets of barriers rather than just one.
I love Italy btw, but what a hassle this time 🙁
