5 days on my own, easy Ibiza/Majorca/similar?

I'm lucky to have 5 days to myself without husband and kids.
I'd love to stock up my kindle and book a hotel somewhere quiet and easy to get to from the airport, thinking Majorca/Ibiza but open to ideas (travelling from London).

• Hotel needs to be easy to reach in a cab from the airport
• In or near a nice town, also nice if there was a beach in easy access
• Not hiring a car so would be getting around by cab/bus

What would you do?

Have a look at Palma, Majorca. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it is!

Short taxi ride from airport, plenty to see and do, small sandy beach, just outside the city but walk-able, good shopping and the city felt very safe to walk around, and it quite compact.
