spain/portugal with 3yr old ds, september, help me decide!

am taking ds on holiday with my aunt in september. want somewhere like balearics or portugal; went to cala d'or in majorca couple of yrs ago, so not there. any ideas? would prefer a small apartment/villa, but some kind of entertainment for him in the evening would be good.

If you wanta villa I suggest browsing www.ownersdirect.com it is very easy to navigate in fact I am addicted to just browsing it!

Also if cost is an issue why don't you check out flights separately ie price up the flights to find out which areas of Spain and Portugal would be easier and less expensive to travel to.

If you want kids' entertainment I'm not sure, I know a lot of the hotels' kids' clubs etc only run during high season...it's a point to check.

We went to Albufiera in the Algarve 2 years ago when dd was nearly 2. We didn't stay in a villa but it was a lovely area to stay in. Plenty of things to do as the people are so child friendly. There is 2 main beaches and a water park nearby which has a marine zoo as well.
