I'm thinking of going there next year but don't know a great deal about it. I want to avoid really busy resorts with lots of drunk teenagers- where would be the places not to go?

We just honeymooned there and not a drunken teen in sight at Aeolos beach, about 20 mins drive from the airport. We booked with an operator but you don't need to bother, just book flights and the hotel. It was amazing. Peaceful, beautiful, calm, amazing food, everyone very low key, hardly any entertainment and very discrete what there was.

Sounds great! Thanks

We stayed in acharavi and loved it. Very much a family place. Hoping to go back next year.

Also went to kassiopi for the day and it was lovely too.

Avoid Kavos! Depending on your taste, you might want to avoid Sidari too...a very busy family resort.
We loved Arillas, San Stefanos and Ag Gordios

We love Roda - fabulous sandy beach and lots of lovely restaurants and bars. Really nice vibe.

We went to Roda last year, it was lovely. A small resort wiht a nice bach and enough bars and restaurants and little shops. It was very friendly and definitley no drunk teenagers.

lulukostas · 28/06/2016 17:14

Hi I live in Roda and can say I agree with everyone above, such a quiet, flat, easy resort. No drunken teenagers, great for families and has a large beach that follows onto Acharavi with shallow waters. Hope this helps x

Arillas. We liked it so much we went back the following year. It is a family friendly resort and is ideal for couples and families. Hen/stag parties would find it very dull.
