Your Favourite Holiday to Spain/Islands with Young kids

Already itching to go on holiday just need somewhere to go. The hotel weve just come back from wasnt very family oriented noisy and the food was repetitive. We had good holiday but were 3-4 mile walk from the town and 2-3 more to the beachfront

Only looking to spend around 1200 2 adults one child anywhere in spain maybe the balearics even.

I think you will struggle to find AI for 3 on that budget with anything but a buffet restaurant where the food is a variation on a theme each day especially if you are limited to the school holidays.

How about B&B in a hotel and then eat out in restaurants in the evening, mixed up with some simple foods, lunches out, snacks, sandwiches, icecreams, drinks etc from the supermarket? The extra you pay for AI over B&B can be put to better use usually.

I like the look of Club Martha's Cala D'Or Mallorca or look at Playa Blanca in Lanzarote and check out the location carefully before booking - google maps is good for giving directions to the nearest beach etc and restaurants.

Club Martha's is fab but don't go AI as the pizza and bar food is good but AI is boring buffet and the local restaurants sell cheap and very tasty food! It was a fantastic his at and ideal for families. 2 mins into Cala Egos which has everything you need but you can walk through the marina into Cala d'or or take the happy train., beach wasn't great - just a cove, pretty but small (we live in West coast Scotland so we are used to miles of empty sandy beach) and it had the unfortunate name of Pou which da insisted on pronouncing poo! Hotel was great, kids activities were great, entertainment was cheesy but enjoyable, apartment was huge, resort was lovely.
Other good one was the Oaradise Village in Cala d'en Biosch in Menorca. It was really good too but there were more pools etc at Club Marthas. - and an underground disco which I never got to due to DC but never heard although it was open every night and our room was near it.
