July holiday hot but not too hot?

We are looking at last minute deals for July , summer holiday. We don't usually holiday abroad in July/August as too hot but we could really do with getting away . Not Portugal as we are going there next year. I want somewhere not too touristy , hot enough to swim in the sea but not humid and unbearable, a few restaurants, shops , trips, but mainly a beach/pool holiday. I like the look of Greek Islands but they might be too hot?

I love the Greek islands but I have been there when the thermometer has hit 40 in July, so it depends how hot is too hot for you!

Italian lakes? There are lake beaches if that is something you would consider.

40 would be too hot, and the Italian lakes are lovely but we've been a few times and was hoping to go somewhere different.

How about France? La Rochelle has some nice beaches and shouldn't be unbearably hot.

Thank you, France is a good idea, I've also just thought of Croatia .

We are going to Majorca. It is about 27 in the afternoon.

Thank you prima, that sounds like a good option.

Corsica?

frazzled74 · 25/06/2016 22:39

Ooh I would never have thought of Corsica, I will have a Google, I don't think I know of anyone who's been.

I haven't been, but my sister lives in the south of France and goes a lot. Her DC are 12 and 16 now, but they went on families holidays when they were younger.
