we've got white horses and they've got a pink bunny kitted by local grannies.

It's real. DH got me an "as seen on googlemaps" book for Xmas, which was much better than I expected. Lovely picture of this, from above.

i'll have to get that book, i love google earth, any other weird sightings on there?

Um, it's all weird sitings. But I think the bunny was the weirdest. Oh here's the website associated with the book.

The book didn't include that giant bug that was found (obviously a scanning problem). Looks like it's been fixed now, but I'll see if I can find an archive of it.
