Ds1 has a school trip hre on 1st feb, is it any good?? dont wanna offer to go if its pants

What are they going to see ? Some of the galleries were closed when we went last half term and due to reopen in the Spring(ie Romans). Not the most child orientated imho btu inetretsing all the same.

It's brilliant. But last time I went I was very disappointed to find that the peat bog man is no longer on display.

I loved that sort of thing at 7 and ds(8) was fascinated as we went past the mummies , even if I was spooked ! He'll have a gerat time

The Egyptian collections are stunning and 7 is the right age to start enjoying them
If they are having a talk as part of the cost, these are brilliant. Ds went last term for Greeks and loved the whole day.
