Got 4 year old dd and 2 year old ds in tow (oh and 37 year old dh)so is this mad? Will kids be bored? What will the weather be like?
Anyone got any villa recommendations?

not sure i would go - Grenada is very hilly and there is no beach. Tha alhambra is fabulous but lots of bits are roped off and not especially kid friendly, plus loads of steps everywhere.

I have been to Grenada twice but pre- children! not sure if I would take mine thb.

It will not be very warm either.

Granada will be great at that time of year. Usually still warm and way better than the UK in comparison. I am biased as I live in Andalucia! Went when DS was 1.5 and it was fine. I'd be happy to take him back now and he is full on toddler madness! The city has a great feel and the Alhambra is the only really hilly bit and is a lovely stroll. Spanish are great about kids and will tolerate all sorts of behaviour. The kids can run around the gardens happily. I would recommend it!

Definitely need to book your Alhambra visit the day before - can tell you how to if you are interested.
I think senorapostrophe lives close by - her opinion wil be interesting.

april is the perfect time to go - will certainly be warm but not too hot.

I loved Granada, it's beautiful.
Not sure about how much there is to do with kids, but as chicca says, Spain is so child friendly, I'm sure you will have fun!

am jealous actually....

Oops, why did I think April?? October also gorgeous. Just don't go in the summer, way too hot!

Coast south of Granada is called 'Costa Tropical' and it has an extra warm micro-climate. The little resort/hill town of Salobrena is pleasant with a good long beach and lots of barbecued fish restaurants.
This villa looks nice, and the site it's on has other good ones.
Hope you have a nice time anyway. i wish it was me going!
