Family hotel room in France

Any advice – five of us (2 adults, 3 kids of 3, 9 and 10) looking for a hotel room in France for one night as we drive down to Nice. Do these exist, or will we need to split into two rooms? Just looking for some cheap Ibis kind of thing. Any ideas?

Thanks very much x

In past years when we travelled as a party of 2 adults and 3 DC we would book two rooms - one adult per room, split the DC.

I didn't find any hotels which had beds for 5.

I used the Etap chain (which is now Ibis Budget) and it worked out pretty good value anyway for the 2 rooms.

There may be some independent bed and breakfast places which have family rooms for 5 - but you'd need to pick a town and then research further from there.

Look on Trip Advisor too for tips on where has good accommodation for families. The France forum is often quite active.
