We are off to Alsace in the summer and want to stay one noght in Luxembourg on the way there. Our dd's will then be 6 and almost 4. Anyone got any recommendations for a good family friendly hotel - not bothered which region of Luxembourg they all look interesting.

TIA

Hello,
I live in Lux, and so haven't actually needed to stay in a hotel here, but I'll have a look at home for some guidebooks and see what I can find. usually, when we do day trips around France etc we use the homes in the Alistair Sawday (sp?) books, and these places are usually nice. None in Lux tho..
It's a nice small city and most restaurants are child friendly, esp the Italian ones.
Talk tomorrow

Good morning,
I am afraid my guidebooks for kids here don't mention hotels, so I just went on and googled for hotels in Lux. I got three which might interest you, bearing in mind I don't know the dates you are travelling nor the amount of money you want to spend. I think you should just look these places up and see which you like (if any). The Hotel Sieweburen is a family run hotel on the edge of a large forest with lots of walking paths and has a playground and a nice restaurant which is child friendly. It's about 5 minutes drive from town. Then there is Hotel Casanova which is family run and slap bang in the centre of town, but I think you will pay for that... The last is Hotel Direndall which looks really nice. It's not in town but is again family run and has a playground and family rooms. It's in Kopstall which is a village outside town but for a stop over it looks nice. Good luck looking, just google and see what you get. Unfort. most hotels are for businessmen here and not made for families..
If you've any more questions, just let me know.
