Any ideas for a spa/girls weekend away, halfway between S Wales and Yorks?

Just wondered if anyone knew of anywhere nice. Would love to meet up with an old friend, we thought that half way would be good, just about a 2 hour drive each then. We drive M1/M42/M5, Tamworth services are about the halfway point, but was thinking of something a bit more exotic than that!

TIA

Ragdale Hall in Leicestershire?

Off M5 in Gloucestershire is Calcot Manor... fab but not cheap.
Not your halfway point as such... but real luxury

Heard about Calcot Manor but thought it was where you went for a family blow-out. Any idea what it's like for two mums on a great escape?

Hoar Cross Hall, South Staffs.

I actually live 10 mins from Calcot Manor. It is totally and utterly fab for a girlie time.

I treated my best friend to a day there for a special birthday and I can't begin to tell you what it was like.... the massage was the best I have ever had (and I do have them from time to time), the facial was superb, the lunch great... we then sat outside in the jacuzzi next to an open log fire... total bliss. It is not cheap but well worth every penny.

They do full days, half days, weekends. Their beauticians are very very good and I can't recommend it highly enough!! (I'm not on commission by the way!)

Has anyone been to Calcot Manor or Champneys and Ragdale Hall?
I am interested in how they compare if so?

Have been to Ragdale Hall a few times and enjoyed it, but would like a change.
Thanks!

Sister recently went to Calcot Manor and thought the service was a bit rubbish for the high prices.
