Hi we're off to Rome in October and thought we'd take the kids to a football match , is it safe, is it expensive advice And tips if you wouldn't mind we have a 9 and 6 yr old

Yes it is safe but if Lazio are playing avoid the Curva Nord as that's where their Ultras will be and if Roma are playing avoid the Curva Sud for the same reason. I am assuming you know they share a ground. Tickets are cheap in comparison to football here. You can get them from several places in Rome but you can't get them at the stadium.

If you haven't already found a place to stay we used the romelofts website and there was a good choice of reasonably priced flats on it. we also booked the morning tour of the coliseum with our kids as it was in English and was a good introduction to all the history in Rome.
