We are hoping to book a holiday to orlando and am looking for useful info please.

We are going with another family (4 adults and 4 children total).

We're not sure whether to stay in a hotel or to get a villa.

Also, do you have any recomendations for the best operators or websites to use?

Feel free to offer any other advice.

xx

I would stay in a villa with another family I think. it depends on your budget. Don't stay in one of the budget hotels on I Drive with motel style outside corridors.

Some of the disney hotels are nice eg the Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge ..there is another nice hotel on one of the park entances..would have to look up.

But i think a villa is good value.

Re villa or hotel I would definately recommend villa. When you've been out all day at the parks etc. you'll be knackered so it's nice to go back there stick pj's on an bbq, order pizza rather than have to get showered for dinner and such like. Plus most villas have pools.

Haven't got any websites to hand (baby on lap!) but if he lets me i'll have look for you

It doesn't have to be one or the other. We're going at Easter and will spend the first few days at a Disney hotel in order to get the benefits from being that close (eg early Park opening etc) and then we're staying at a villa from where we'll visit Sea World and Universal etc. My children are too young to have their own hotel room unless it is interconnecting, but I really don't fancy sharing with them for the whole holdiay. A villa gives more space ad is typically fairly reasonably priced (we have a 4 bed/3bath with games room and pool for £644 per week).

Both times we went with Virgin and stayed here

Thank you for the recommendation, we are the closest resort to Disney, check out that map on www.dibb.co.uk - click on Accommodation and then click on Dibb Villa Map to show you where all the resorts are.

Thanks everyone. The information is great and I'll have a good look through it once the children are in bed xx
