I need to book a holiday and it has to be somewhere a) work can't reach me and I don't have to feel I should check in everyday and b) suitable for a 3 year old as well as tired parents. Also needs to be non middle east as I need a break from Gulf-land. I need your help because we don't have travel agencies here for reasons no one can quite fathom.

The places that are in 3-4 hour plane rides are:

  • Seychelles
  • Mauritius
  • Thailand

Anyone got any experiences of these with a little person? Any recommendations?

Not clear, you mean you want to break the journey into 3 x 4 hour plane rides? You don't say when you want to go, assume you mean during UK winter? What about Mark Warner in Sri Lanka?

lapsedrunner · 11/01/2007 19:31

Ops I'm being a bit thick....just realised, what you mean is that you live in "gulf-land"? Mark Warner in Sri Lanka is still an option then, sorry but no personal experience.

Perhaps Malaysia?

Hi lapsed - yep I live in the Gulf, which is fabulous in many ways but also very exhausting. I want to go somewhere EASY!!

We have been to the resisdence in Mauritius twice with our 5 and 7 yr old. It is fantastic for kids and adults. They have a fabulous kids club which the kids all seem to really like and babysitting as well. although it is quite smart they love kids and there are lots of families there.

We went with Scott Dunn and im sure if you contacted them they would arrange you a holiday from anywhere. They are really good
