Fantastic place, only been once but determined to return.

been twice now and love it.

The whole island is beautiful - serious mountains inland, really stunning beaches. It's like the south of France and provence rolled into one, but on a really small scale and with much nicer beaches.

Very easy to fly to now from teh UK, with 3 airports to aim for on the island.

Go Go Go. We are going to go back again this year.

airports: Bastia, Calvi or Ajaccio btw

I think the far south towards bonifacio is best for the famous beaches of palombaggia and others. it really is stunning.

But we also enjoyed the quieter west coast - beaches not as nice but very rugged.

We booked a villa independently the first time but last year used vfb. Quite a few companies do villa hire there.

I would also say that it's one of those destinations where a rental car is pretty essential.

useful general corsica site in english
