One night stays at weekend!

DH and I are looking to have a Saturday night in Feb away ideally in a nice hotel on the north norfolk coast but we are having real problems finding anywhere that will let us stay one night at the weekend!

Have looked at Brighton and lots of the hotels that have been recommended on mumsnet but they all seem to have a two night policy at weekends

Really want a nice relaxing chiiled out place as I am 7 months pregnant

Help please

Have you tried Byfords? . I haven't stayed there myself, but have heard good things about it. I have had food from the deli and it was simply delicious.

Thanks Fimbo looks fab but just had a look and suprise suprise it is a 2 night policy again for weekends!

The search continues!

I think you can do Friday nights as a one nighter. It is a local concern as oppose to a chain - the staff seemed quite friendly when I was at the deli. Perhaps if you phoned them they would help you out.

I agree.. if you fone and explain, and assure them that you are not part of an 30 strong stag do then they might be more accomodating... also try laterooms.com

Right, I don't know what this place would be like. But it does say in the blurb it has accommodation all year round and it does appear to do a Saturday night.

Thanks Fimbo not sure about the Ostrich Inn but have just spoken to Byfords and they have said call back a week b4 and they may let us stay one night if they aren't full so think this is what we will do

If you have any other suggestions would really appreciate it, do you live nearby?

Hi Madhide,
I live in Norwich (although I am Scottish!) but we do go up to the North Norfolk coast quite a bit. We stayed in Holt (where Byfords is) for our 10th wedding anniversary in November but in a cottage for 3 nights. We bought our food from Byfords every night (it even opens late on a Sunday!). The only other place I thought of was Holiday Inn Express . It is built on the site of a former hotel/sports complex and has only been open for under a year. I think the new ice-rink may be there too (not suitable for pregnant ladies though!) Breakfast is included in the price. (Asda is next door). Although it is in Norwich it is close to the Cromer Road and wouldn't take that long to get up to the coast. Sorry its probably not really what you want.

Or This for More Luxury . Close to the Norfolk Broads.

Have you tried The Victoria at Holkham? Places that are business destinations in the week often let you book 1 night at weekends.
