My mum and her friend from work have booked to go for a week at beginning of Sept.

My mum just basically wanted me to ask if anyone has been and what they thought, oh and what the weather might be like at that time of year.

They are staying in The Sport Hotel, if anyone knows it.

TIA

We've been, went when ds was 1 so a good 8 years ago , and have been for the day since. Can't recall the name of where we stayed but it was a little way out of town but they have pedestrianised the centre and moved the station since then. tbh weather could be good could, be dire but there is an indoor pool there now and an outdoor pool in the woods a decent walk out of town. It is ok if you like a walking/outdoorsy type holiday and the weather is fine but not really a place to spend much time otherwise in itself and tbh there are prettier destinations in the Alps.

Also bear in mind that September is the beginning of the low season so lifts, mountain cafes etc may start to shut down or operate weekends only as we found that at the end of June. It wouldn't be a particularly cheap holiday destination as to travel on lifts up the mountains, cups of hot choc and cake, excursions (like the Tyrolean dancing evening !) and entrance fees to sports centre will all mount up.

Thankyou

They won't be doing any skiing or anything like that and have 2 excursions inc in the cost of the holiday.

We did trips to a reservoir near Ischgl/ Galtur(which we took instead of the included one to Innsbruck as we'd been there before), to an old town in Switzerland (having lived there since it is not as renowned or ancient as the reps would have you believe), cycled a bit along the valley and took the local bus to Lech. The walking around there isn't that flat or easy going but they could take the cable car up for the views.
