A thank you to the Basingstoke Hilton hotel for organising a great weekend break for us. We won the mumsnet Peter Pan Panto competition in December and the prize was a one night stay at the hotel plus tickets to the panto at the Anvil Theatre.

The panto was really well acted, a traditional production that was not full of smutty inuendo. The representatives from the Hilton were extremely accommodationg regarding dates and details. We had some quite specific requests but everything we asked for got a 'yes' from the staff.

The hotel itself was more than adequate, with a nice large bedroom and bathroom. Having optional DVD and Playstation hire for the room's TV was the cherry on the cake for my boys . The breakfast (serve yourself bars) was magnificent and filled us up for the entire day.

So thank you Mumsnet and the Hilton, Basingstoke.

Yes, I would really recommend the Hilton for a weekend family break. Ok I didn't have to pay for it, but the actual price of the break (it would have been £107 for four or us, including best seats at the panto and a HUGE breakfast) was pretty reasonable IMO.

I think they do other breaks when the panto season is over - definitely worth checking out.

Delighted you had a good time and thanks for the feedback - always good to know when a comp works well.
Cheers
