If you could pick anywhere in Europe for a romantic break where would you go?

I fancy Croatia area but flights don't make it easy. I definitely want there to be water (sea or river) but am curious as to mn ideas as I am so often inspired this way!

Don't find trains or stations romantic either .

Venice, Rome, Prague or Bruges for me!

Another vote for Venice. Lots to see but small enough to be manageable in a weekend. Lovely to just walk around.

does it have to be a city? DP and I have had some lovely romantic trips to the French Alps.

Venice, Cologne, Berlin or Paris for us.

We went to Venice in early Autumn, Cologne and Berlin in late December (Christmassy, cosy and lovely) and Paris in the Spring.

Salzburg

Prague, Salzburg or Berlin

Florence! A wonderful city, small & compact enough to get around on foot but enough to keep it interesting.

I'll be 5 months pregnant in November and we want to go away - any suggestions for this time of year? Will Iceland be too cold?
