Ladymuck needs a Midlands hotel recommendation please!

Our friends in West Mids are taking the dcs for a weekend, so I need some hotel recommendations: nice rooms, decent food and a spa & pool? We loved Whatley Manor but was wondering whether there was anywhere closer to our drop off point?

OK - still undecided. Has anyone stayed ta THe Priest House at Castle Donnington or the Peacock at Rowsley? Though neither seem to have a pool...

Any other recommendations? I've always had good tips from here before!
