We're considering returning to France this year...but this year we'd have a 7 month old...Do we think it's too long a trip?!

We went to La Rochelle with a 6 month old, and it was fine. Campsites are full of families with babies.

That's fab news, guess I'm just being over cautious...DD 1 & 2 loved it last year but they're 5 and 7...

Yes just need to plan lots of stops so baby isn't in car seat for too long! Have a great time!

I suppose it's how long the journey is, Glasgow to Marseille might be pushing it!

If you have a crawler, take a travel rug so that your baby can crawl when you stop at service stations (otherwise they never really get a break from being in the car seat). Should be fine though - we have always travelled with our three across Europe.
