Last year in Tuscany at the same time DS and DD refused to swim in the freezing cold pool. Heated pools in portugal are few and far between? Do i need a heated pool in Portugal in August??

We went to portugal (Alvor) and my son also hated being in the cold pools. There was a heatwave when we were there and it made no difference- he still preferred to toddle around. Maybe see if you can find one?

dd doesn't do well in cold pools due to her heart problems. She used to wear a short sleeve wetsuit when she was younger, although we used to go away in May. Might be a bit too much for August.
