I rather fancy taking my DC (10&7) to the Republic of Ireland. Taking my car on the ferry because I want to show them where a I lived in Cork, and maybe staying in Kinsale overnight too. Where then? Any ideas?

Do you want city or country and how long are you planning on staying?
You could go from Cork on to Kerry, do the ring of Kerry, maybe Dingle, then on to Clare, spend a night in Ennis, on to the Burren and Cliffs of Moher, on to Galway overnight, then over to Dublin to see the sights there and back to the ferry.
