Holidays
Does anyone want to come to see Barney with me?
Hulababy · 25/05/2004 18:04
Seriously!
I have two spare tickets as Dh can't come with us as he is working.
Birmingham NIA - in city centre near New Street station apparantly
Friday 28th - THIS WEEK
5pm
I don't yet have the tickets in my hand but am assured by Rachel (MN team) that they are on their way.
I am travelling there by train from Sheffield.
Is anyone interested (think of the child who would love it )?
If so, reply here or by e-mail to claireandrich(at)beeb(dot)net
Hulababy · 25/05/2004 18:28
Maisystar - as you were first to mention it they are yours if you wish. I know the train tickets price Sheffield return is £21. Can you e-mail to confirm?
Hulababy · 25/05/2004 18:40
Yeah! A taker - it'll be great Maisystar I am sure
jampot · 25/05/2004 18:41
NIA is on/behind Broad Street, near Five Ways, Edgbaston. New Street Station is at the end of New Street in the centre of birmingham - go with Coddy's advice and take a cab - a good 15-20 min walk WITHOUT KIDS!!! Have a great time.
Hulababy · 25/05/2004 19:50
But then have two unrestrained children in cab - don't like idea of that
My DD will be pushchair (I'll leave it in cloakroom like normally do) and think Maisystar's DS will be. I can do 20 minutes walk - hope MS can!
Hulababy · 26/05/2004 08:44
Ordered train tickets now and will arrive in Birmingham with tons of time to spare so no rush to get there so quite happy to walk Can always grab a cab back if pushed for time on way back though - cheers.
JulieF · 26/05/2004 22:33
When I worked there I used to walk every day from New Street. It took about 5-10 minutes at max
There is a HUGE flight of steps leading up to the NIA but if you go round the back there is a disabled entrance they might let you into.
If you wanted to make a day of it the Sealife Centre is next door
Hulababy · 26/05/2004 22:35
Thanks Julie! Hopefully we will find it okay. I will remember to print map off the computer before we go.
marthamoo · 26/05/2004 22:36
Sorry, hula, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes. Kind offer though!
Hulababy · 26/05/2004 22:37
Everyone will be jealous when me and aisystar come back and say how great it all was, and what stars we are in the eyes of our DD/DS!!!
gingerbear · 27/05/2004 03:12
Hula, Hope you and Maisystar enjoy Barney, (assume that you are taking the littlies with you)
I agree with Marthamoo on this one
Now if it was Hi5 I woould be brawling on the ground with Maisystar for that spare ticket (Oh Nathan....be still my beating heart)
Hulababy · 28/05/2004 12:32
Well I am just about to set off for the train station to meet Maisystar. Will report back later
charlieplus3 · 28/05/2004 12:36
