Thomson superfamily - anyone book their children in as adults last year?

Last year, I remember there were a number of discussions about how Thomson holidays were cheaper if you booked your children in as adults (thus avoiding the underoccupancy supplement). There was some debate about whether children were allowed to go in the kids clubs if you did (Thomson told me they couldn't).

Did anyone book their children in as adults? If so, could they use the kids club?

TIA
