I was thinking the same trip for me DP, DSS and I. 2000 each seems like a lot!!!
I hope there are cheaper as that's completely out of my reach Sad

That's loads we usually get flights and 3/4 nights for about £700 ish each. What is your split flights/room wise?

Queenofthesilverdollar · 06/03/2016 21:08

£2k each too much for us too. Split was 50:50 after early doors trawl. If can do it for £700 will shop around any tips?

Did 6 nights for 2 adults, 2 kids for about £800 each Oct year before last.

Look at skyscanner for flights. I've just found return flight £331 leaving 25th returning 30th from London. The hotels.com for a room. I take it DS will share a room with you?

LittleRedSparke · 06/03/2016 22:01

get flights and hotels separately, £2k each is bonkers, Virgin headline costs £500 for the return flights (no details entered)

rooms, you can get from booking.com, hotels.com, etc

KittyOShea · 06/03/2016 22:05

Consider a different time of year? Me and DH just back from 6 nights for £600 each. Flew out of Dublin though

Look at booking your hotel through Quidco. I got 10% off for New York. Also look for family rooms rather than two rooms to make it cheaper.

BA might be worth a look? They often have offers on their hotels. We had a 6 night trip last April where we had "stay for two nights and get one further night free" so we stayed for 6 nights and paid for 4 at the Ritz Carlton.

I stayed at a lovely hotel in Queens rather than Manhattan (one 'stop' from Lexington Avenue... Central Park etc see pic). Reduced cost dramatically and had a HUGE room
overlooking Manhattan.

The hotel was called the Verve a Hotel, and just next to Queens Plaza subway.
