positano/ amalfi costs

Hi all,

I did post something in weddings earlier so apologies for repeating but new and not sure how things work.

Thinking of getting married in positano September next year. Just wondering if anyone has been and especially for a wedding?

Their thoughts, the area, hotel recommendation. We are thinking of eloping without guests so hoping there are some nice places to visit for a dinner and some drinks post ceremony

Positano is beautiful. Really, really beautiful. It's built into the mountains so everywhere is accessed by steps. There are a lot of steps! I spent my honeymoon there in part but it was in 2008 and I can't remember the names of restaurants.

Fabulous views from the balconies and the manager recommended and booked restaurants for us every night.

We took a taxi from Sorento but would recommend getting the hydrofoil instead. We did this on the way back, half the price and none of the hairpin bends.

We saw people getting married in the beach but I wouldn't know how you go about it. It's lovely, congratulations on your upcoming wedding.

It's not been that easy so far but finally getting somewhere with regards to costs etc so fingers crossed to setting the date and booking soon!
