Travel pillows, worth having?

We go on holiday soon and our flight back is overnight.
I can sleep anywhere but DH can't.
Does anyone out there bother with travel pillows? Are they worth the effort?

I have one. And it's great. If it's a long flight I can pop it on then put my hood up to keep it in place. The. Use provided pillow to lean my head against.

They are a pita to have to carry though

Thanks Em. I'm leaning towards an inflatable one.

I saw one in Tiger today with a built in hood.

I've tried the inflatable ones and they're not that great. Mine is memory foam. Which is good to stop your head sort of flopping over.

Dh puts his on the. Puts hoody on backwards and hoods up. He swears it's the best sleep

I am buying J pillows for our next long haul.

I was looking at the J pillows. They seem good.
Our flight it only 7 hours but as I say, it's over night.

I was on an 11 hour flight 2 weeks ago and picked a travel pillow up at the airport. I was so glad I did it was great for just relaxing my head to the side when I couldn't sleep, find it so hard to sleep when I can't lie down so the travel pillow definitely made it more comfortable. I have heard the inflatable pillows are rubbish though, I bought a memory foam one so I would go with that for comfort.
