Australia!?!?

My auntie lives in Australia and has invited us to go over.. I like in the uk and has NEVER been on a plane neither has my ds! He's 2 is the flight too long for him? Should I wait a few years? Please help x

Well personally I wouldn't want to take a 2 yr old that distance or on a plane at all but you will have MNers come and tell you they've done it and it was fine.

If this is going to be a "once in a lifetime" trip, then I'd save it until he was older, and more likely to remember. If your finances mean you can do it every couple of years then it means it comes down to how awful keeping a two yr old quiet in a small space for 20? 24 hours appeals to you.

I have been doing it yearly since DS was 16 weeks old. He's nearly 8 now. If you want to go just go. Flight is ok, not brilliant but plenty for them to watch. Take snacks etc with you.
