Budapest

Girls weekend to celebrate my 40th. 6 of us, 3 nights, 2.5 days in April.
I'm thinking a day of sightseeing, maybe a boat trip on the Danube (evening?), ghoulash, lits of champagne (ok, not hungarian but it's my birthday) and a day/ half-day at the baths.
Any suggestions/ advice/ absolute does and don'ts??

Hi, I know no one replied to your questions but dos you go?! I'm looking to do exactly the same next year so wondered if you have any advice?

I wouldn't mind an update on Budapest too.

I've been but it was 1982 - and I think things were quite different then

Have just booked Budapest on recommendation of a friend.

Taking teenagers.

Told try the baths - swimming, sauna, massage etc.
Do the palace.
Walk in old town of Buda or Pest - not sure.
Apparently, just a lovely place to wander.

Anyone else been and can give tips?
